On winter finale of “Fringe” we finally get some answers! Bad guy David Robert Jones is trying to activate Olivia’s powers by torturing Nina Sharp. Only it isn’t the real Nina, but a shape-shifting super solider. Now that Olivia has been flooded with the memories of Peter’s Olivia, she believes that she needs Peter close to her to make her powers activate. Meanwhile the Observer September shows up shot in the chest to tell Peter that Olivia needs his help. The Observer passes out and Peter convinces Walter to sync up their consciousness so he could find out where Olivia is. This is where we finally get some answers about the Observers and find out that they are evolved scientists from the future. We also find out that Peter is in fact in the wrong universe and has to get back to his where he has a child with the Olivia from his world parallel universe (confused much). It seems that Peter is very important to the universes and that is why he has interfered with their lives. He tells Peter that he is supposed to be with his Oliva and have a family and needs to go home. September that expels Peter from his mind and disappears. Peter decides that perhaps September meant home literally and goes there. One of David Robert Jones’s henchmen is there and takes Peter to Olivia. With Peter there Olivia is able to activate her powers to the max killing one of the henchmen and forcing Jones and shape shifter Sharp to escape to a parallel dimension. Before they cross over Olivia is able to fire off a shot hitting Jones but not affecting him because he has become invulnerable. Peter tells Olivia that he now realizes that she is not the one he loves and that he has to get home now more than ever. Really great winter finale and I can’t wait for “Fringe” to come back and hopefully reveal more about the mysteries of the series. I will have my DVR set to record!
We are getting closer to finding out what the hell is going on in “Fringe” and I am loving the ride. Olivia has regained all of her memories of Peter and it seems for the time being that Peter may in fact be in the right universe. He is very reluctant at first that Olivia is in fact his Olivia. Dying to find out whether she is the real Olivia or if Massive Dynamic is behind her thinking she is. This weeks episode introduces us to a young man in a mental institution that has been suffering from schizophrenia. Good news is he is not schizophrenic rather just genetically engineered to be part of a bee like hive, and those voices in his head are actually his half brothers who will do anything to keep their secret and survive. Fringe division discovers that the boys biological father is a fertility doctor who used his own sperm to try to build a better human. The hive track down the doctor and kill him severing the voices from the once believed schizophrenic who now feels alone for the first time. Peter looks deep into Olivia’s eyes and believes her to be the Olivia he loves and the two of them kiss. Olivia then goes to use a gas station restroom and disappears?!!?!? The last scene reveals her and Nina Sharp bound in chairs and locked in a dark room. Next weeks episode claims to have major revelations about the Observers and hopefully everything else. “Fringe” air Friday 9pm on Fox. I for one have my DVR set to record!
Awesome episode of “Fringe” this week, that takes Fringe division to a small Vermont town where everyone is going crazy. The team gets trapped in Westfeild which is colliding with the Westfeild from the other universe. The collision of the universes causes the residents to merge and become confused murderous lunatics. The team figures out that it is baddie David Robert Jones who is responsible for merging the universes and ultimately destroying both Westfeilds. This seems like just the beginning for Jones who still has a lot of amphilicite, the power source used to join the universes. I hope we get some answers this season on why he is so hell-bent on merging the universes. The big revelations this week is that Olivia now remembers Peter! That’s right, it seems that Peter may be in the right universe after all and is not misplaced but for some reason forgotten. Can’t wait to find out what the Observers have to do with all this and when everyone else os going to start remembering Peter. This show is so great it kills me that it has such low ratings and seems to always be at risk of being canceled. Things are going to be getting real interesting and I highly urge you to tune in. “Fringe” airs Friday’s at 9pm on FOX. I for one have my DVR set to record!
Another great episode of “Fringe” aired this week, and I was glad to hear the shows ratings have been improving. It may be hard to keep up on what universe you are watching, but no matter where the show takes you the writing is consistently good. While Olivia is trying to understand her encounter with one of the Observers, the team meets a girl who can see when people are about to die. The producers of the “Final Destination” franchise may want to take note cause this one hour episode about trying to escape death is handled with more finesse and intrigue than all their films put together. Starting to wonder when Peter is finally going to get back to his own world and what has been going on there in his absence. Hopefully, it won’t take Olivia’s death, like the Observer spoke of for Peter to get home. Until then, hopefully we could get some answers about the shape shifters, Massive Dynamic, or any of the other conspiracies and “Fringe events” that have taken place in the show. I can’t recommend this show enough and if you cant watch it leave it on at home when you are gone. “Fringe” airs at 9pm on FOX Friday nights; I for one have my DVR set to record!
This week on “White Collar,” Neal and Peter go undercover at an elite Manhattan prep school to thwart an embezzlement plot. Guest star Dylan Baker plays the bad guy who is stealing the schools scholarship money. Daker is alway great, not really a scary bad guy unless you have seen Todd Solondz’s “Happiness” and are freaked out he is in a school. Neal finds himself undercover as an english teacher and not only saves the day but also plays Cupid (with the help on Mozzie) to two teenage star-crossed lovers. Neal does a bit of sucking up to Peter hoping he wont “tell the whole truth” about the treasure (which he doesn’t.) Neal seems genuinely happy with his life and really cares about Peter, whether Peter will accept him as a partner and not a criminal is yet to be seen. “White Collar” continues to be a clever show with really fun cons. Really looking forward to seeing where both Peter and Neal’s relationship and the season goes. “White Collar” airs Tuesday 10pm on USA, I for one have my DVR set to record!
