Intense episode of “Southland” this week that includes stabbing, biting, a near miscarriage, and a swastika loving birthday boy named Adolph! Due to a department shortage Lydia is put on the streets as a sergeant. The extra physical demands almost cause her to have a miscarriage and make it harder for her to keep the pregnancy a secret. It seems that the honeymoon is over for partners Sammy and Sherman, after Sherman falsely accuses Sammy of planting evidence. Great twists with this storyline that end up revealing how Sherman really feels about Sammy. Not sure the pair will be able to return to their bromance and prank wars. Cooper and Tang are forced to ride with a reality TV crew. They accidentally cause a woman to get stabbed, give a father on his way to a job interview a break, and help a bakery deal with an upset customer that wants a Nazi themed birthday cake for his son. Things really heat up when after arriving on the scene of a fight Cooper is attacked by a crazy juice head bites through his neck. Great scene where the reality camera man does nothing to help Cooper from being attacked and is determined to catch the whole thing on film. This series gets better each week and this weeks cliffhanger was especially thrilling. “Southland” airs on TNT Tuesday at 10pm. I for one have my DVR set to record.
