Even an abundance of guest stars can’t keep “White Collar” from missing the mark this week. I really enjoy this series and typically find each episode to be a fun ride but something was off this week. I think it was a mix of having a crowded cast and that this weeks con was pretty lame. Hilarie Burton returned as Sara Ellis, Neal’s ex girlfriend and insurance claims extraordinaire. Was not feeling the chemistry between her and Neal and hope Neal moves onto a new love interest. Beau Bridges was also back as Agent Krammer and determined to dig up some dirt on Neal to make sure his sentence is not commuted. The whole will Neal be set free story line is nowhere as exciting as last seasons treasure and I am really missing the distrust Peter had last season. Peter did have a lot on his hands this week, he may not of worked the case but he had to deal with something much scarier… in-laws. Tom Skerritt and Debra Monk play Elizabeth’s parents who visit the Suit household for her birthday. Peter was so desperate to impress them and give Elizabeth the best Birthday ever that he even looked to Mozzie for help. Not sure I like the whole we are all friends direction the show has taken and prefered when there was more FBI vs. cons. Also this week we find out Diana and her lesbian lover are going to get married. Glad to see a bit more of Diana’s personal life and I support Gay marriage even when it is fictional. “White Collar” airs on USA 10pm Tuesday. I for one have my DVR set to record.
